Hello Worry, My Old Friend.
"Since his days are determined, and the number of his months is with You, and You have appointed his limits that he cannot pass, ..." Job 14:5
Why do we allow fear to have any grip over us?
Worry is something we all know like a familiar friend we entertain on the daily.
Daily entertainment of any friend can take its toll and wear a person down.
Ecclesiastes 3 talks of there being seasons for various things in all our lives.
I was encouraged by this verse from Job today. It jumped out at me from several verses I was reading on "change".
Worry stems from lack of control/unknown.
If we can begin to refocus our minds in those worrisome times adjusting focus back onto Christ, it REPLACES worry with confidence.
Worry, unlike most friends, wont go away on its own, lol.
It takes us to be intentional. To create quiet space to fix our eyes on Jesus.
He knows our # of days and He will FINISH every work He has begun:
"being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you WILL carry it on until it is finished on the day of Christ Jesus." Phil 1:6
Our very life is God's work:
" For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." Eph 2:10
God laid out the steps we should walk in before our life even began and "it is HIS Spirit working in us for His will and His good pleasure" Phil 2:13
Let us ask God to strengthen our faith, so we can see that nothing passes through our lives that isnt filtered first through His hands.
Let us seek God for what we are to take from and learn in whatever situations we face that might stimulate our worry.
Let us seek God to teach us to trust Him in the areas of our hearts we resist Him.
Let us ask to be made aware of any and all areas of our lives that exalts itself and tries to take His place in our hearts.
Allow no room for worry by reminding your heart where your Hope TRULY is held:
in the hands of God through Christ alone❣💯🙏🏼
